Lewis Toad really likes working on his potter's wheel. You can see how he would be good at it because of his webbed hands. But he's afraid of sparks from the kiln, because he doesn't even have any fur. Oliver Mouse finds that part warm and cozy, though, so he his happy to help.
Lewis is about 14" tall. He is made of green organic cotton jersey, and stuffed with polyfill. You can hand wash him and he will air dry. He has hand-stitched details on his eyes, hands, and feet. His pants are made from striped cotton jersey, and his scarf is red cotton. His clothes are removable so he can change his outfit.
Hazel Village was started in 2010 by Jane Van Cleef. She always loved making things, and found inspiration for Hazel village in what she loved growing up. Annicke Mouse was the first Hazel Village doll, and after making a few more woodland friends, the world of Hazel Village became clear to her.
In the four years since Hazel Village started, they've expanded their ability to produce the animals responsibly, striving for heirloom quality at a reasonable price.
Hazel Village is named after the American Hazelnut tree: a source of delicious nuts, magical divining rods, useful twigs for basketry, and food for caterpillars.
